The annual RCA secret postcard exhibition. Every November at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, London SW7 2EU
The idea is simple – invite famous artists and young art students to submit an original piece of art with just two rules – the art work must be completed on a postcard and it must be signed on the reverse, keeping the artists’ identity a secret. All cards are sold in a one-day sale, with each card costing around £40 each. The exhibition boasts nearly three thousand postcards by Grayson Perry, Jimi Tenor, Manolo Blahnik, Tracey Emin, Paula Rego, Anish Kapoor, Yoko Ono, Olafur Eliasson, Yinka Shonibare, John Baldessari, Kenneth Grange, Margaret Calvert, James Dyson, Paul Smith, Manolo Blahnik, Erdem, Nick Park, David Baile, Mike Leigh, as well as up-and-coming students and graduates from the Royal College of Art.
